18.2. - Registration update: Changes in payment schedule

The payments of the phase 2 registrants have been checked after the payment deadline expired. Unpaid registrants have been removed from the event.

Phase 3 payment deadline extended

The European Open 2020 organization has had to make some changes to the registration schedule, more specifically to the payment schedule. The payments will be checked on March 2nd for the next time. The registration phases 3 & 4 will be completed automatically according to the original plan.

In practice this means that players who meet the rating requirements of specific phases can register to the event. Registrants who get a spot in the event have until March 3rd to pay the entry fee.

The players who end up on the waiting list should wait for possible cancellation spots without paying the entry fee. Just like they would normally do.

Wild cards won’t be issued during this time. But you can apply for wild cards as instructed. Check here for wild card info.
