11.2. - Pre-phase 2 registration update

The European Amateur Open 2020 registration phase 2 starts tomorrow, on Wednesday 12th at 16.00 UTC. The Finnish and international divisions will be combined on Wednesday before the phase 2 opens. We will also remove all registrants who received a spot in phase 1 but haven't paid the entry fee.

So this won't necessarily happen right after the phase 1 ends at 16.00 on Tuesday. Some unpaid players can still show up in the registered players list even on Wednesday.

Additionally, we'll transfer some players to their correct divisions. Some players had to register to incorrect divisions on Feb 5th due to an error. We'll straighten some of these errors out at this point.

At the end of phase 2 we'll review the divisions and pools. We may transfer some divisions to different pools before phase 3 opens if this allows us to make more room for more popular divisions. We will announce the changes before we make them though. More about these changes later when/if necessary.

Note that further changes to divisions and pools can still take place after phase 3 but before the event starts. There are bound to be some cancellations and changes in division sizes due to those cancellations. We won't make any changes lightly and we'll always announce the changes though.
