5.5. - EUROPEAN OPEN CANCELLED, AMATEUR OPEN HELD ON AUG 21-23

Today we have good news and bad news. Let’s start with the bad ones. We regret to inform you that the European Open will not be held in 2020. The 10th edition of the event has been postponed to 2021. Exact date TBA. You can read the full announcement at the event website.

Then the good news. European Amateur Open will be held in 2020! But we had to postpone the event, the new date is August 21-23. Otherwise the event hasn’t been changed much. You’ll still get to play three world-class courses on three days! And as a bonus there will most likely be more time to practice the Beast. We’ll send you more info about this once we get the exact schedule nailed down.

Naturally, there will be no European Open 2020 spots available as a price for the MA1 and FA1 division champions. But the stakes are still high as the champions can either choose a ticket to the European Open 2021, or the equivalent value in merchandise, as their price!

Now what?

Whatever you decide to do we ask you to take the survey we have prepared. (All participants should have received a link to the survey.) We decided to use this form to collect the answers and required info from all event participants to one centralized place in a coherent manner.

Basically you have three options:

1. You can still participate in the European Amateur Open in 2020, on August 21-23.
2. Or you can use the 2020 entry fee to pre-register for the 2021 European Amateur Open. Date TBA.*
3. Or you can have the entry fee (99,00€) fully refunded now.

*By choosing the option 2 you can already secure your spot for the 2021 event. You will not be required to rush to register for the event. We may invite you to register separately, but this will only be done to collect up to date contact info for event organizing purposes.

Whichever option you choose, if you later have to withdraw from the 2020 or 2021 event you are still eligible to receive a refund as per PDGA rules.

Please note that we’re still in the process of updating the event website and it’ll take us a day or two to get it fully up to speed.

European Open 2020 peruttu, Amateur Open siirtyy: 21.-23.8.2020

Meillä on hyviä ja huonoja uutisia. Aloitamme huonoista: European Open 2020 on peruttu. European Openin 10. juhlakisa järjestetään 2021. Tarkempi aika kerrotaan vasta myöhemmin. Koko tiedote luettavissa englanniksi tapahtuman verkkosivuilla.

Ja sitten niihin hyviin uutisiin: European Amateur Open järjestetään tänä kesänä! Mutta jouduimme siirtämään kisaa n. kuukaudella, uusi päivämäärä on 21.-23.8.2020. Muutoin kisa säilyy pitkälti ennallaan: kolme päivää, kolme rataa ja n. 500 osallistujaa. Ja bonuksena Beastillä ehtinee harjoittelemaan hieman pidemmän aikaa, mikäli suunnitelmamme toteutuvat. Tästä lisätietoja hieman myöhemmin, kunhan tarkka aikataulu varmistuu.

Amateur Openin MA1- ja FA1-luokkien mestarit eivät luonnollisestikaan voi saada European Open 2020-paikkoja palkintona tällä kertaa. Mutta panokset ovat yhä korkeat, sillä samoilla suorituksill voi ansaita paikan vuoden 2021 European Openiin! (Vaihtoehtoisesti voi ottaa palkinnoksi 250€ arvoisen tavarapalkinnon.)

Miten toimin?

Riippumatta siitä mitä päätät tehdä, sinun tulee vastata kyselyyn, minkä linkki on lähetetty sinulle sähköpostitse. Lomake on ainoa järkevä keino kerätä osallistujien vastaukset ja tiedot kootusti, yhteen paikkaan. Tästä johtuen kaikkien tulee vastata siihen.

Käytännössä sinulla on kolme vaihtoehtoa:

1. Voit osallistua European Amateur Openiin tänä vuonna, 21.-23.8.2020.
2. Tai voit hyödyntää 2020 osallistumismaksun ennakkoilmoittautuaksesi 2021 European Amateur Openiin. (Päivämäärä selviää myöhemmin.)*
3. Tai voimme palauttaa sinulle osallistumismaksusi. (99,00€)

*Valitsemalla vaihtoehdon 2 varmistat paikkasi 2021 European Amateur Openissa. Sinun ei esim. tarvitse kiirehtiä ilmoittautumaan. Saatamme silti kutsua sinut ilmoittautumaan 2021 kisaan, mutta teemme tämän vain kerätäksemme ajantasaiset tiedot tapahtuman järjestämistä varten. Pidämme sinut ajan tasalla 2021 kisan järjestelyistä niiden edetessä.

Valitsetpa minkä vaihtoehdon hyvänsä olet vielä myöhemminkin oikeutettu perumaan osallistumisesi joko 2020 tai 2021 kisaan, sekä saamaan osallistumismaksusi takaisin. Noudatamme näissä tapauksissa PDGA:n sääntöjä.

Huom! Tapahtuman verkkosivujen päivittäminen on kesken. Tämä vie vielä päivän tai pari. Pahoittelemme viivettä.
