First a quick mention about tee times and groups:  We’ve had to make some small changes to round 1 tee times. Remember to check your round 1 tee time on Thursday evening - just to be safe!

Also, round 2 & 3 tee times will first be published on the PDGA website, as soon as possible after the pool has completed the previous round. Metrix groups will be updated and published a bit later, purely due to practical reasons. We’ll announce the tee times in metrix news as soon as they’re up on the PDGA website, and we’ll send an email about it as well.

Scorekeeping

Metrix is the primary scorekeeping method of the event. We hope that there’s a volunteer Metrix scorekeeper in each group. Note that the scorekeeper can also be a caddie. In such a case the caddie should report for duty at the course specific tournament office well before the round. That way we can add the caddie to the Metrix.

Every player must sign their metrix scorecard electronically after the round. If this isn’t possibleon the player’s device, he/she should visit the tournament office immediately after the round and sign the scores on an official’s device. A tournament round ends once the scorecard has been signed*

If a group can’t keep score in the Metrix, they will be provided paper scorecards. Quadruple scorekeeping in used in such a case. Each player will receive a personal scorecard, which is only handled by the player him/herself an event official(s). Each player is required to mark their own name, round number, division and course on the sorecard. A hole specific score row is included for all four players of the group and each player must mark the scores for each player in the same order. (Starting order.) Scorecards must be returned to the tournament office at the end of the round.

*Please note that this is a non-smoking event. Use of tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) is not  allowed from the moment a player enters the 1st tee area before their round, until they have completed their round. (Open and visual possession of any product banned under the smoking policy will be treated as a courtesy violation, and violators will be asked to put away the product. Repeated offenses will be handled per 801.01F)

Alkuun pikaisesti pari mainintaa lähtöajoista. 1. kierroksen lähtöaikoja on jouduttu muuttamaan hieman. Tarkistathan oman lähtöaikasi vielä ainakin torstai-iltana, varmuuden vuoksi.

2. ja 3. kierroksen lähtöajat julkaistaan ensimmäisenä PDGA:n verkkosivuilla, mahdollisimman pian kunkin lohkon kierroksen päättymisen jälkeen. Lähtöajat ja ryhmät siis päivittyvät hieman hitaammin metrixiin, johtuen puhtaasti käytännön syistä. Kun 2. ja 3. kierroksen lähtöajat on julkaistu ensimmäisen kerran, siitä julkaistaan metrix-uutinen ja pelaajille lähetetään aiheesta myös erillinen sähköpostiviesti.

Tulosten kirjaaminen

Kilpailussa käytetään ensisijaisesti sähköistä tuloskirjausta. Tämän takia on toivottavaa, että jokaisesta ryhmästä löytyy vähintään yksi vapaaehtoinen pelaaja kirjaamaan koko ryhmän tulokset Metrixiin. Kirjaajan voi toimia myös ryhmän mukana kulkeva caddie. Tällöin caddien kannattaa ilmoittautua kisatoimistossa tähän tehtävään hyvissä ajoin ennen kierrosta, jotta hänelle voidaan antaa tarvittavat oikeudet.

Kierroksen päätteeksi jokaisen pelaajan tulee allekirjoittaa oma tuloksensa sähköisesti metrixissä. Jos tämä ei onnistu pelaajan omalla, hän voi tarvittaessa allekirjoittaa tuloksensa kisatoimistossa heti kierroksen jälkeen. Kisakierros katsotaan päättyneeksi, kun tulos on allekirjoitettu.*

Jos ryhmästä ei löydy metrix-kirjaajaa, jokainen pelaaja saa oman paperisen tuloskortin ja jokaiselta ryhmän jäseneltä edellytetään nelinkertaista kirjanpitoa. Tälllöin kunkin henkilökohtaista tuloskorttia käsittelee vain pelaaja itse ja kisan toimitsija(t). Kukin pelaaja merkkaa omaan tuloskorttiinsa oman nimensä, kierroksen numeron, oman luokkansa ja radan nimen. Lisäksi jokaisen ryhmän jäsenen nimet tulosriveille, kaikilla samaan järjestykseen, lähdön mukaisesti. Tuloskortit palautetaan kisatoimistoon kierroksen päätteeksi.
