NBDG Special Åland

Natural Born Disc Golfer, AX Discgolf and Åland Disc Golf Islands are organizing in co-operation NBDG Special -event in Åland. Event is scheduled for 21st to 22nd August, 2021. Three competition rounds will be played in this 2-day PDGA event. Besides this main event, there are a lot other competitions and side events during the event week. Come to Åland!

Competition rules

  • Three competition rounds, two competition days
  • Registration must be done via Disc Golf Metrix
  • PDGA rules, PDGA competition manual and FDGA's competition instructions are valid
  • Requirements:
    1) FDGA competition license from Finnish players (also players from Åland)
    2) PDGA membership from foreign players
  • Smoking and use of any tobacco product is forbidden during player meetings and from 2 minutes signal until returning the score card. At tournament centers smoking is allowed only on specified smoking spots

Score keeping

  • Double scoring is used in the event (Metrix + paper score card)
  • Each player must sign their score in Metrix or ask tournament official to sign it
  • Unsigned score card in Metrix = unreturned score card
  • Metrix scores must be equal to paper score card and whole group must be present when score card is returned

Divisions, pools and spots

  • MPO, FPO
    MA1, FA1, MA3, FA3
    MA40, FA40
  • Pros playing am is valid
  • One pool, groups of 3 to 5 players
  • No rerserved spots, all spots are shared in the order of registration
  • If there are less than 4 players in division when registration ends, divisions can be merged. If merged, players will be informed and they have right to cancel participation due merging (PDGA rules 2.01 K / 1.03 H). M- and F- divisions will not be merged together
  • Organizer has got 10 wild cards to the event 

Fees, withdrawns and refunds

Entry fee

  • Entry fee in all divisions is 50,00 €
  • Fee is recommended to be paid immediately after registration. That is the only way to confirm you spot
  • Organizer has right to remove unpaid players from the event
  • NOTICE! Do not pay the entry fee if you end to waiting list
  • NBDG Junior Program is not valid in this event (no junior divisions)

Methods of payment

  • NBDG store

  • MobilePay (only for Finnish players)
    Pay the fee to number 39899 (NBDG Events)
    Write event name, date and player's name to message field

Withdrawns and refunds

  • In case of withdraw, always do it via email to contact person
  • Do not remove your registration by yourself
  • Entry fee will be refunded if
    A) withdrawn is done via email at the latest 7 days before the event
    B) withdrawn is done via email 2-6 six days and player's spot can be filled from the waiting list
  • Handling fee up to 5 € can be reduced from the refund (PDGA 1.03)

  • Voucher- / merchandize prizes based on divisions participants

Side events

  • There will be different kind of side events during the competition (CTP and others) with merchandize prizes
  • More information at player meeting

TYYNI 2022 -raffle

  • One free entry with pre-registration spot to Tyyni 2022 event will be raffled among all participants of NBDG Fast Round Kastelholm, NBDG Doubles Sandösund and NBDG Special Åland events. Prize is worth 120-200 € depending chosen division
  • One participation = one ticket to raffle. From NBDG Doubles event both players will get a ticket
  • Raffle will be done at NBDG Special award ceremony

NBDG Ace It

  • Hole-in-one side event
  • Volunteer to join
  • Entry fee: 1,00 €/round (makes 3,00 € for this event)
  • Pay the price, throw an ace and get a voucher worth 50,00 €
