Disc Golf division of Haapaveden Urheilijat ry organizes Aakonvuori Open 2021-disc golf tournament in Haapavesi at 14.8.2021. Tournament is PDGA sanctioned C-tier event. Participants must have PDGA or FDGA license.
Tournament info
- Tournament results are held in paper cards and in DiscGolfMetrix.
- The use of tobacco products is allowed with transitional portions if everyone in the group approves it. Smoking must not be to the detriment of other competitors, including those outside the group.
Schedule
At friday 13, there's license free doubles.
At saturday August 14. rounds are played with shotgun start. For first round groups are draw mixed groups. The second round groups are divided into classes according to previous round ranking.

Course
Tournament course is modified AO21 layout of Aakonvuori Disc Golf Course.
Registration and payments
- Registration opens at July 23. at 18:00 (GMT+3)
- Registration fee must be paid on August 12.
- Payments are checked weekly.
- If payment is missing, player is removed from tournament.
Registration fee in MPO and FPO classes is 20 €, and in other classes 15 €.
Class is arranged if there's at least three competitors in it. Tournament director can combine classes that have under three competitor to "higher" class.

Prizes
- In MPO and FPO top 25% is awarded. Payout 90%.
- In other classes there's trophy awards and possibly gift vouchers. Value is defined by FDGA.
- Where amateur is playing in pro class (MPO or FPO) it's possible to change money prize to PowerGrip gift voucher with value definition of FDGA.
Lunch
Aakonvuori Disc Golf Course is located approximatly 10 km from nearest city center Haapavesi. We're arranging lunch at tournament center in Aakonmaja. Lunch prize is 7 € / person. Prize includes main dish, salas, bread and drinks. Prize is paid with cash in place, or with registration fee electronical payment (add word ruoka to message). Or if you already paid reg. fee, then you can pay with same payment information and add message AO21 Ruoka.
Location
Aakonvuori Disc Golf Park is located to Korkatti outdoor area approximatly 10 km from Haapavesi to the north. Address is Turvetie 1272, 86600 Haapavesi. Click to the map from HERE. NOTE! Don't navigate to location with Google Maps search result "Aakonmaja", this will lead you to other side of the city, where from it's 25 km to correct location.
Tournament center
Aakonmaja (Aakko hut) size is 280m2. In downstairs there's showers, dressing rooms and saunas. In upstairs there's office room, meeting room and kitchen. Toilets are located in upstairs, downstairs and there's also public toilets outside to serve bigger events.
Accommodation
Approximatly 1 km from tournament center Villa Korkatti.
10 Km from tournament center in city of Haapavesi there's Hotel Haapakannel, Kylpyläsaari Camping, and kulttuurikartano Pekan Pirtit.
There's also possibility to stay in tournament center parking area with caravan, electricity available.
