Schöckl Open 2023 is a disc golf tournament on Austrian Schöckl mountain near Graz, Styria directed by Manu Oman and Roman Pfarrhofer and organized by Discgolfclub Graz (DGCG) .
This AustroTour event is a 2-day PDGA C-tier tournament played over 3 rounds.

Best 25% of each division receive cash (or vouchers instead, in case of being an amateur.) Details announced on PDGA page.
We offer following divisions:
- Divisions part of AustroTour:
MPO played (PDGA rating of >=800)
FPO played (PDGA rating of >=700)
MJ18 played (PDGA rating of >=700) - Divisions not part of AustroTour:
MP40 played (PDGA rating of >=800)
FP40 played (PDGA rating of >=700)
This course will be available for practice (tournament ready) latest on Friday 19th of May 2023, 12:00.
Important note: Practice is not possible on Thursday 18th of May (Ascension Day) as Schöckl Warmup 2023 is held on this day.
Note on player numbers:
If there are less than 3 participants in a division we will eventually merge this division with the next higher one (i.e. FP40 -> FPO).
Maximum number of participants is 72. Therefore the maximum flight size is 4 players.
Wildcards will be distributed by discretion of the TDs.

Practice areas
Practicing is possible on the whole course until 2 minutes before a round starts. We are working on, at least, a putting area next to the cablecar downhill station.

The last cable car ride on non tournament days is at 17:00. Any exception see schedule below.

Refund policy
We will refund the tournament fees if:
- we are not allowed/able to hold this event.
- you cancel your participation at least 1 week before the event.
Please, note that in case of a refund, the refund processing fee of about 3 € will be deducted from the refund amount.
Meals and drinks
Various soups are offered at Alpengasthof. Please inform us during registration if you would like to order a soup and please pay on site.

We have "Closest To Pin" awards. There are prices waiting for the two closest lies, sponsored by "Discgolf4you".
Played on hole 7, after two rounds the closest lies are winning.
Ace Pot (extra 3 €, has to be payed by banktransfer)
If you hit an ace, you will earn the pot. In case of two or more aces, the pot will be splitted. In case of no ace during the whole tournament the money stays in the pot and will be added to the Ace Pot at he next Schöckl open, runned by DGCG.
COVID-19
Current Austrian COVID-19 laws do not demand any vaccinated, cured or tested certificates to participate in events.
However, please take preventive measures as you see fit (see PDGA Covid Guidelines).
The current law in Austria counts.
Other general rules
- Main scoring tool is Disc Golf Metrix. Additionally, one player in each group has to score with UDisc.
If requested, a paper scoring card will be handed out as an alternative to digital scoring..
Accommodation
We have organized following accommodations on top of Schöckl mountain:
Alpengasthof (11-bed group accommodation incl. bed linen)
Camping (beside Alpengasthof; shower facility; breakfast possible at Alpengasthof). Camping itself will be free. Shower will be charged with 5 EUR.
