Thanks for your interest in the SSS Ruffey Ratings Rounds,
These rounds will be used to get the new Ruffey Lake course rated in Metrix so that we can use it for our Handicapped Social Day Rounds there starting on Sunday, February 19. For those of you who do not know, its takes 100 rounds, by rated players, playing in events with at least 10 players to get a course rated. If we are a little bit short of this by the start of the season, we will make some magic happen to get it rated. We may use that same magic to ensure that anyone who takes part in these rounds ends up with a rating as well if they don’t already have one. No promises on that one.
For these competition we are going to try something new again and use a flexi-start where players can form their own groups by selecting a tee time that’s suits them throughout the day. We are going to have one competition each day from Feb 6 to 18. If you are playing then just tick a time that suits and form your own groups. Ideally, we would like at least 2 people per group but we can make singles work. Just make sure you are entering accurate scores. There are no prizes to be won for these so please enter your accurate score so the initial course rating is accurate. There will be a number of tee times throughout the day, just pick one that is open and as close to the time you are starting as possible.
