06/17/23 08:30|Mariatrost ÖSTMÖM2023 → AAT-Layout|AUSTRIA, Graz
The Amateur Trophy Graz & Juniors ÖM 2023 is a disc golf tournament on a pop-up course in Graz-Mariatrost, Styria, organized by Union Discgolfclub Graz (DGCG).
This AmateurAustroTour event is a 1-day PDGA C-tier tournament played over 2 rounds with a shotgun start on Saturday the 17th of June 2023. The target group are players with no or a PDGA rating of <850, who are not (likely) getting a spot in the Disc Golf-Championship event and who were and are diligently involved in the organization and set up of the events (Wild Cards). However, all players are welcome.
Additionally, this event will host the Austrian Juniors Disc Golf Championships, where the best youth players of Austria will show, what the future of Austrian Disc Golf looks like.
Due to the special constellation "Austrian Amateur Tour & Juniors Championship" we have decided in agreement with the federation to cancel the top group Gold (>=970) in favor of the number of players for the lower groups. The percentage distribution of reserved starting places was also adjusted.
So we offer following divisions (we reserve the rights to make adjustmens):
- Blue (PDGA-Rating of >=935)
- White (PDGA-Rating of <935)
- Red (PDGA-Rating of <900)
- Green (PDGA-Rating of <850; this includes players with no PDGA rating)
Furthermore, two divisions for the Juniors Disc Golf Championships:
- MJ18 (Male Juniors)
- FJ18 (Female Juniors)
Note on player numbers:
If there are less than 3 participants (except juniors) in a division, we will merge divisions.
The maximum number of participants is 72.
Wildcards will be distributed by discretion of the TDs.
Course
Details to the layout can be found at the “Manual” section on this Metrix page.
Layout
The course layout is pretty much the same as the one at the Austrian Disc Golf Championships, apart from three to four holes that have been adapted for safety reasons.
The course will be available for practice on Friday, the 16th of June 2023.
We offer broad fairways with tricky OBs, but also some narrow forest holes with tight lines.

The tournament centre will be at the “Tramway Museum Graz” with following address:
Mariatroster Straße 204,

Although there’s a park+ride option near to the tournament centre, we recommend to travel directly with the tramway line 1 to the tournament, as the final station will be just next to the tournament centre.

Other general rules
- Main scoring tool is Disc Golf Metrix. Additionally, one player in each group should score with an alternative scoring app, so you are able to double check scores at the end of the round or if scoring in Metrix is not possible.
If requested, a paper scoring card will be handed out (see rule update by PDGA in 2022). - Please be aware that the tournament layout lies on public ground and that people may walk or bike through parts of the layout. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to use spotters on holes, where the landing zone of your throws might be obstructed to see.
