This year's Franconia Open will take place in Gößweinstein from October 4th to 6th, 2024. With the support of Leinen Los, the HyzerCrew is bringing back most parts of last year's German Championship. The day before, the entire course is available for training and you can play most of the layout on the weekend beforehand.
The Schützenhaus is available to us too, as is the passage through the outdoor pool.
A players' party with barbecue, the night glow round and a own putting course with tournament round off the program.
Anyone who was not allowed or able to attend last year is just as warmly invited as all participants in the 2023 German Championship.

Tournament format:

The Franconia Open is part of the German Disc Golf Tour South and official PDGA B-Tier. We play 3 rounds with 18 holes each in flights of 4 with tee times. The tournament is limited to 120 players.
Registration:

Registration opens on Wednesday, July 4th, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. and takes place via tournaments.discgolf.de
This year everyone has to record the scores of their flight. Scoring is done via the tournaments.discgolf.de platform. If there are technical problems, we will keep scorecards in paper form. The scoring can be transferred to caddies.
Course/Layout:

You can expect something similar to the German Championship 2023. We will cancel some holes and add some new special ones.
It won't get any easier ;).
However, we will have to manage with no or only a few spotters and we have taken this into account in the planning.
If it rains heavily beforehand, we reserve the right to make changes in the interests of safety and the flow of the game (we already have an alternative for the DM 18).
Caddybook will be put online as soon as it is ready.
Allocation of starting places:

The Franconia Open is part of the German Disc Golf Tour South, so the allocation of starting places is defined by the tour rules. The wildcards are awarded by the TDs.

The minimum is defined as PDGA B-Tier. We'll add even more!

The Leinen Los team offers drinks and snacks.
There will be something warm for lunch in the Schützenhaus. More details can be found in the tournament registration!

- The address: Schützenstraße 1, 91327 Gößweinstein (49.7751376, 11.3415133)
- Public access: Via Forchheim, either via Ebermannstadt with the regional train R22 and then with bus 234 (towards Neudorf) or directly from Forchheim with bus 222 (towards Gößweinstein). The stop is always 'Gößweinstein Freibad'.
- By car: Simply enter Disc Golf Leinen Los into the usual navigation systems.

Ace pool participation: 2 euros (payable on site - please pack coins)
In the event of a tie for the first place in a division, this will be played out in sudden death mode. We will update the courses here using the caddy book. Ties for second and third place will only be broken at the request of the players.
Toilets

Toilets are available in the shooting range and there is also a portable toilet on the course.
Cancellations/cancellations:
---------------------------------
Cancellations up to 2 weeks before the start of the tournament: full refund of the entry fee.
Cancellations up to 1 week before the start of the tournament: half of the entry fee.
Cancellations less than a week before the start of the tournament: no refund of the entry fee.
Food must be paid in full up to 1 week before the tournament. After that, no refund.
Photography and media use:

The club and Leinen Los will take photos at the event and may publish them on the respective websites and social media in connection with the tournament. If you do not agree to this, please let us know when you register.
