Basilika Throwdown 2025 [PDGA C-tier]
This two-day tournament is part of the Austro-Tour 2025 (AT) and will take place on May 31 – June 1, 2025.
The Union Discgolfclub Graz (DGCG) is looking forward to an exciting Disc Golf weekend!
Course
The layout will be very similar to the Austrian National Championship 2023. Some adjustments will ensure a fresh and interesting challenge. It's a variety of short and technical holes and long ones, where distance is required and a big advantage.

Thursday, May 29th & Friday, May 30th, 2025
The course will be open for practice all day.
Saturday, May 31, 2025
- 8:10 – 8:30 AM: Player check-in
- 8:40 AM: short players meeting
- 9:30 AM: Tee-off Round 1
- Lunch Break
- 2:30 PM (estimated): Tee-off Round 2
After round 2, there will be a get-together at DSG Mariatros "Sand und Mehr"
Sunday, June 1, 2025
- 9:30 AM: Tee-off Round 3
The format will be a combination of shotgun and tee-time start (similar to a previous successful event).
General Information
We invite you to join us for the Basilika Throwdown 2025 in Graz-Mariatrost from May 31 – June 1. As in 2023, we expect perfect conditions for two exciting tournament days filled with Disc Golf action.
For those who arrive early, the course will be open for practice on Thursday & Friday. Please remember to be cautious of pedestrians, as they may appear unexpectedly.
Registration
Following an agreement with ÖDGV, the following divisions will be available: MPO, FPO, RED (PDGA rating < 900), FJ18, MJ18
Entry Fees:
- Adults: €45
- Juniors: €25
- Ace Pool: €1 (included in entry fee) – Everyone has a chance, never say never!

Refund Policy
We will refund entry fees if:
- The tournament cannot take place.
- You cancel your participation more than one week prior to the tournament.
- You cancel your within tournament week and someone from the waitlist is taking your spot
Please note: A €5 processing fee will be deducted from refunds, no matter when deregistration happens. If there are any further questions don't hesitate reaching out to us.
Accommodation
The Basilika Throwdown 2025 takes place in Mariatrost, at the foot of the Basilika Mariatrost. Due to its location within Graz, a variety of accommodation options are available – from hotels and guesthouses to holiday apartments and budget options.

Public Transport & Parking
Getting to the venue by public transport is easy:
- Tram line 1 connects Mariatrost directly with Graz city center and the main train station.
- Several bus lines also serve the area.
- If you’re traveling by car, parking spaces are available nearby, especially at the Basilika, watch out when parking at the HQ on Friday! You have to pay from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Be careful when parking and make sure not to park in prohibited areas or obstruct pathways. Also, check if free parking is available or whether there is a parking fee necessary.
Food & Catering
An event will take place at the tournament centre. On-site catering will provide food for the lunch break on Saturday.

For those who prefer self-catering, there are several supermarkets and restaurants nearby. We recommend using Google Maps or other map services for exact locations.
A refreshment station on the course will keep you going :-)
Event Location: Arrival, Parking & Tournament HQ
The end station of Tram Line 1 (including a Park & Ride area !no parking fees on saturdays & sundays & holidays (THURSDAY)) is right next to the Tournament HQ. Here, you can always check the course map, which will include all relevant locations.
