Willkommen zur Fortsetzung des Castlehill Open im Jahr 2026
Gespielt werden wieder 3x18 Bahnen jeweils im Kanonenstart, auf einem Ballgolfplatz in malerischer Kulisse nahe St. Pölten. Zwischen Bunkern und Greens, Obstbäumen und Hügeln findet ihr unseren 18-Hole Pop-Up-Parcours zu amateurgerechten Distanzen, der aber dennoch ein herausforderndes Layout bietet. Gegenüber der ersten Ausgabe gibt es manche gestalterischen Anpassungen.
Das Turnier ist das Finale der Austrian Amateur Tour 2026 und wird entsprechend in den folgenden Divisionen ausgetragen:

Red (Rating 850 - 899)
White (Rating 900 - 934)
Gold (Rating über 935)

„Die Teilnahme an einem AAT-Turnier ist auch ohne eine gültige PDGA-Mitgliedschaft möglich. Die Teilnahme ist grundsätzlich möglich, sofern die maximale Teilnehmerzahl in der Anmeldung noch nicht überschritten wurde. Bei der Anmeldung gilt innerhalb der einzelnen Anmeldephasen das First-Come-First-Serve-Prinzip.“ (AAT-Standards)
Die ersten drei Ränge jeder Division werden mit Sachpreisen und höchster Ehre anerkannt. Außerdem warten Preise auf die Gewinner:innen der Sideevents.
Die Person mit der größten positiven Differenz zwischen Event- und Playerrating (PDGA) wird bei uns ebenso prämiert (Preis für Overachievment).

Rückerstattung ist bei Absagen bis 1 Woche (Freitag, 7.8.2026 00:00) vor dem Event möglich - bitte beachtet, dass etwaige Rückerstattungen gesammelt nach dem Event vorgenommen werden.
Bei Abmeldungen unter einer Woche vorm Turnier gibt es nur Rückerstattungen, wenn der Startplatz durch Nachrücken von der Warteliste gefüllt werden kann.

Toiletten und fließendes Wasser stehen im Clubhaus zur Verfügung.
Hotelunterbringung
Wir können euch dieses Jahr leider kein besonderes Angebot bezüglich Unterbringung anbieten. Es gibt einige Hotels in St. Pölten und auch in der Umgebung des Parcours.
Ein reguläres Taxi kostet bei Rittner Taxi vom Bahnhof St. Pölten zum Golfplatz etwa €35,- (lt. Unternehmen).

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel
… sind eingeschränkt verfügbar. Die Anreise kann mit der Buslinie 483 vom Hauptbahnhof St. Pölten nach „Gabersdorf Hauptstraße“ erfolgen, von dort sind es ca. 5 min. zu Fuß.
ABER: der Bus fährt sonntags nicht und am Samstag nicht früh genug für Spieler:innen. Somit ist der Bus nur für Freitag und für Zuseher:innen relevant.

Jede:r Spieler:in ist für seine/ihre Würfe selbst verantwortlich.
Der Veranstalter übernimmt dafür keine Haftung.
Bildrechte
Die Anmeldung zum Turnier gilt als Einverständniserklärung, dass erstellte Bilder weiterverwendet werden dürfen.
Abbruch-Szenario
Abbruch der Runde würde mittels akustischem Signal erfolgen.
Sonstiges
Auf Grund der örtlichen Gegebenheiten und der Jahreszeit empfehlen wir einen (Sonnen-)Schirm mitzunehmen. Der Parcours ist Cart-Freundlich.

Welcome to Castlehill Open 2026.
We are happy to be able to host this Event again this year!
Three rounds of discgolf played in shotgun-start-mode. A picturesque ball-golf-course near St. Pölten will be transformed into an 18 hole discgolf parcous. Between bunkers and greens, fruit trees and hills, you will find an amateur-friendly yet challenging layout. Regarding last year, the layout has been slightly modified.
The Tournament is the final stop of the „Austrian Amateur Tour 2026“ and is going to be held in five Divisions as stated below:
Purple (Rating 1 – 799)
Green (Rating 800 – 849)
Red (Rating 850 – 899)
White (Rating 900 – 935)
Gold (>935)

The participation at a AAT-Tournament is possible without a PDGA-Membership. Participation is possible, as long as the limit for participants is not reached. For registration during the registration-phases the first-come-first-serve-principle is exerted. (AAT-Standards)
There will be great prizes and sideevents. Also the Player who achieves the biggest positive difference between their Event- and Playerrating (PDGA) will be awarded.

Accommodation
Regretingly we can not offer any special conditions for accomodation this year. There are several Hotels in St. Pölten and also in the Region.
A regular cab with "Rittner Taxi" from St. Pölten railway station to the golf course is about €35,- (according to the company).

Public transport
...is limited: you can take the Bus-Line 483 from St. Pölten Railwaystation to „Gabersdorf Hauptstraße“. It's about a 5 min walk from there.
BUT: the bus doesn't operate on Sunday and doesn't operate early enough on Saturday, so it may only be relevant for Friday and for spectators.
Safety
Every Player is responsibel for their throws. The Organizer is not liable.
Pictures and Videos
With your registration you agree to the publishing of pictures and videos taken.
Cancelation of the round
In case of round cancelation, there will be a acustic signal.
Other
Because of the location and the season we recommend using an umbrella for shading. The course is cartfriendly.
