TOURNAMENT INFORMATION/INFORMACION DEL TORNEO
Mijas Toros DGC welcome you to The Mijas Open 2026, a qualifying event for the Spanish Cup (COPA DE ESPAÑA 2025-2026).
The tournament will be in Trophy only format.
The event is a PDGA C-tier and will be held on April 11th and 12th at the Disc Golf Park Mijas. A doubles tournament, details of which will be released later, will be held on Friday the 10th.
CADDIE BOOK will be published one week before the tournament.
CATEGORIES
The categories offered for this event are Open (MPO), Women's (FPO), Masters 40 (MP40), Masters 50 (MP50), Masters 60 (MP60), Amateur (MA3), Beginners (MA4), Women's Beginners (FA4), and Juniors (MJ18). Participants who are also registered for the Spanish Cup are reminded that to earn Cup points, they must register for this event in the same category as they did for the Cup.

- Note that the course fee (10€/day) is NOT INCLUDED to the competition fee.
- Course fees have to be paid seperatley at the pro shop!
- Mijas DGP has kindly given a special deal on course fees for the weekend: €20 for 3 days or €35 for 7 days

GAME FORMAT and FIELD
All categories will play 3 rounds of 18 holes (requirements set by AEDG). The competition courses will be in DGP Mijas area.

SATURDAY, April 11
- 09:15-9:30 - Check-in for the first round + quick players' meeting

Sunday, April 12
- 10:00 - Third Round - Mixed layout: Blue F9 + Red B9

SUDDEN DEATH
In the event of a tie for the top 3 places in each division, a sudden death will be played.
The playoff holes are: Blue #1, Blue #2 and Red#18 to be played in a loop until a winner is found, ending the game immediately.

FACILITIES, FOOD & DRINK ETC
The Mijas DGP Pro shop will offer a wide range of services during the competition inlcuding cold food and drinks. In general we would advise players to bring cash as payment as certain items will require it (see below). Bizum, MobilePay, Vipps etc are alternatives but these are only availiable at the discretion of the Mijas Pro Shop staff.
Food will consist of wraps, sandwiches and salads by Picantti Catering (please note this is a cash only sale)
In addition to this there will be snacks, energy bars, nuts and a large selection of drinks.
The pro shop has a large variety of both new and used discs for sale from all the main disc manufacturers.
Toilets (male and female) are available all day at the pro shop.

Mijas Toros DGC os da la bienvenida al Mijas Open 2026, un evento clasificatorio para la Copa de España (COPA DE ESPAÑA 2025-2026).
El torneo se celebrará en formato solo trofeos.
El evento es un PDGA C-tier y tendrá lugar los días 11 y 12 de abril en el Disc Golf Park Mijas.
El viernes 10 de abril se celebrará un torneo de dobles, cuyos detalles se publicarán más adelante.
El CADDIE BOOK se publicará una semana antes del torneo.
CATEGORÍAS
Las categorías ofrecidas para este evento son: Open (MPO), Femenina (FPO), Masters 40 (MP40), Masters 50 (MP50), Masters 60 (MP60), Amateur (MA3), Principiantes (MA4), Principiantes Femenina (FA4) y Juniors (MJ18).
Se recuerda a los participantes que también estén inscritos en la Copa de España que, para obtener puntos para la Copa, deben inscribirse en este evento en la misma categoría en la que se registraron para la Copa.

Cuotas del campo
• Ten en cuenta que la cuota del campo (10 €/día) NO ESTÁ INCLUIDA en la cuota de competición.
• Mijas DGP ofrece una tarifa especial para el fin de semana: 20 € por 3 días o 35 € por 7 días.

FORMATO DE JUEGO Y CAMPO
Todas las categorías jugarán 3 rondas de 18 hoyos (según los requisitos establecidos por la AEDG).
Los recorridos de competición estarán ubicados en la zona de DGP Mijas.

Viernes, 10 de abril
• Competición de dobles – abierta a todos – diseño Red
Sábado, 11 de abril
• 09:15–09:30 – Check-in para la primera ronda + breve reunión de jugadores
• 10:00 – Primera ronda – diseño Red
• 13:00 – Almuerzo
• 15:00 – Segunda ronda – diseño Blue
Domingo, 12 de abril
• 10:00 – Tercera ronda – diseño mixto: Blue F9 + Red B9
• 14:00 – Ceremonia de premios y competiciones extra
MUERTE SÚBITA
En caso de empate en los 3 primeros puestos de cada división, se jugará una muerte súbita.
Los hoyos de desempate serán: Blue #1, Blue #2 y Red #18, jugados en bucle hasta que se determine un ganador, finalizando el juego inmediatamente.
INSTALACIONES, COMIDA Y BEBIDA
La Pro Shop de Mijas DGP ofrecerá una amplia gama de servicios durante la competición, incluyendo comida fría y bebidas. En general, recomendamos a los jugadores traer efectivo como forma de pago, ya que algunos productos lo requerirán (ver más abajo). Bizum, MobilePay, Vipps, etc., pueden utilizarse como alternativas, pero solo estarán disponibles a discreción del personal de la Pro Shop de Mijas.
La comida consistirá en wraps, sándwiches y ensaladas preparados por Picantti Catering (ten en cuenta que esta venta será solo en efectivo).
Además, habrá snacks, barritas energéticas, frutos secos y una gran selección de bebidas.
La Pro Shop también dispone de una gran variedad de discos nuevos y de segunda mano a la venta de los principales fabricantes de disc golf.
Los baños (masculino y femenino) estarán disponibles durante todo el día en la Pro Shop.
