PDGA A-Tier competition – Please follow the PDGA rules!

Warm-up area

Players can use all the area on the right side from hole 1. There is room for driving and there is also a 18 hole course for warming up (hole 1 is closed due to the competition). Also there will be putting practice area: next to hole 18. You can’t miss it – easy to find.

NB! During the event (02.06 – 04.06) competition course is closed for practice from 08.30 in the morning until the last group has finished the round. NB! Event officials has a right to disqualify a player for breaking this rule!

Course rules overview:


1. Island hole with hazard rule – next throw is from where the disc lies. In case of missing the island, +1 is added to the score. Player is not allowed to take 1m in from the hazard line!

2. OB – road on left and behind the basket. Normal OB rules.

3. OB – marked areas on both sides. Normal OB rules.

4. No special rules. But please be careful, hole 5 teepad is right around the corner.

5. No special rules.

6. OB – marked area on the left side. Normal OB rules. Mandatory – play from the right side. If you miss the mandatory, proceed to Drop Zone and +1 is added to the score.

7. OB – marked areas on both sides. Normal OB rules.

8. No special rules. ZÜCA snack- and waterpoint available.

9. No special rules.

10. No special rules.

11. No special rules.

12. OB – behind the basket. Normal OB rules.

13. No special rules.

14. OB – road on the left of the fairway. Normal OB rules. Mandatory – play from the left side. If you miss the mandatory, proceed to Drop Zone and +1 is added to the score.

15. OB – marked areas on both side. Normal OB rules.

16. OB – marked area behind the basket and road on the right side. Normal OB rules.

17. OB – marked area behind the basket and road on the right side. Normal OB rules.

18. OB – gravel road on the left and behind the basket and water (including the island in the middle of the pond). When going OB with the first throw, proceed to Drop Zone. After that normal OB rules apply. Player can move directly to Drop Zone. In that case +2 is added to the score.


NB! In case player plays the mandatory correctly, but disc lands on the wrong side of the mandatory line, player must play the mandatory again. NB! Mandatory and OB lines continues endlessly.

There are spotters on holes 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 14 & 18. Spotter is a volunteer to help players, who doesn’t make any official decisions. Final decisions are made inside group. Please look after every throw inside your group and be sure of your throw safety. If needed, use someone inside your group as a spotter. There is a 3 minute time limit after losing a disc. Every player inside the group must help to search the disc. If the disc hasn’t been found inside 3 minutes, the disc is called as a lost one and player has to proceed to his/hers recent position and +1 is added to the score.

NB! In case the group cannot reach an agreement of the final call, player should play out both versions and mark both scores (one version to the Metrix and another to the UDisc). After the round group should immediately solve this question with TD.


Round times and divisional order

First group will tee off at 08.30 all 3 days. After every 10 minutes next group will be teeing off. During the first round we have random groups within a division, except MPO & FPO feature card. During the second and third round there are scored based groups within a division. During all 3 days FPO will start first, followed by MPO.

Check in opens on Thursday 01.06 at 13.00. On the first competition day competitors have to check in latest 30 minutes before their tee time. For the second and third round player has to be on the first tee at least 10 minutes before his/hers tee time.

Each player will receive a players pack during check in.

SCORING

We will use two online scoring methods. UDisc scoring and Discgolfmetrix.com scoring.

If the group can’t use online scoring method, paper scorecards are handed out at the first tee. After the round please return the scores to the first tee!

Each group will be responsible for

  • Keeping score in the UDisc scoring app and Discgolfmetrix.com

Things to be aware of

  • MPO & FPO Feature Card will be provided with their own scorekeeper
  • Players may bring a caddy or scoring friend to keep score
  • Players can download the UDisc app HERE. The app icon is a white square with an orange U in it.
  • Players can find Discgolfmetrix.com HERE.
  • No scoring will happen during play. All scoring will happen on the tee of the next hole.

SPORTLAND Hole in One award
First “hole in one” on hole 1 will be awarded with 300€ Sportland gift card.

The award ceremony will take place approximately 30 minutes after all the groups are finished. If there are tied places for the podium, sudden death format is played until the winner becomes clear. SUDDEN DEATH holes are hole 1 & hole 18.

There are media people walking around the course during the competition. If you feel that someone is disturbing your game, please let them know politely.

There is a water and snack stop on hole 8.
You can find toilet between holes 7 & 8.

Alcohol consumption and smoking during the rounds are prohibited. Littering is forbidden, there are trash bins on the course. Please be careful about our nature and the territory of Kõrvemaa Center!
