Player info, part 2

Hello everyone!

The season closing main event, EPT-X Fuengirola Open, will see it's kick very soon - on Thursday. Last things are prepared in the background, but basically everything is ready for this spectacle. Welcome!

This is the second information package for players. Please read it through carefully. If you missed the first part, it can be found HERE.

All the event information will be shared through event's Metrix page (LINK) and the news posts there (LINK). Follow them closely for updates and additional information.

Disc Golf Metrix account

A couple of players are still missing a Disc Golf Metrix account. Account is required for score keeping and signing your score. If you don't have an account yet, create one. When you have created it, please send an email to events@nbdg.fi and we will link your account to correct player in the event.

Tee-times

Preliminary tee-times for the first round has been published under first round in Metrix (LINK) and at event's PDGA page (LINK). 

Notice! At this point the times are preliminary. There might be some minor changes due late withdrawals etc. Always remember to double check your tee-time in the evening before and also in the morning before your competition round.

Tee-times for second round will be published on Thursday evening when all divisions has played their round and for third round on Friday evening.

Tee-time order for divisions is the same for all rounds. Preliminary schedule, subject to change if there are DNF's etc.

• 9:00 - 10:40 FA3, MA3
• 11:00 - 11:50 MJ18, MA40, FA1
• 12:10 - 13:00 MA1
• 13:20 - 13:50 MP40
• 14:10 - 14:40 FPO, MPO

Scoring

Official score keeping platform is Disc Golf Metrix

• One player from each group must keep scores in Metrix
• Each player of the group must sign their own score after scores are checked by the group
• If you can't sign your score, ask Tournament staff to do it
• Unsigned score = unreturned scorecard = two penalties

Back-up scoring

• Added to Metrix, at least one other player in the group must keep scores on separate platform
• Valid methods for back-up score keeping:
  • PDGA Digital Scorecard, event password: EPTX2023
  • Paper card
• Back-up scores must match with Metrix scores

All players of the group must come to tournament office after the round is finished and scores are checked/signed.

Check-in and player meetings

Check-in for the whole event should be done on Thursday, at the latest 30 minutes before your tee-time

• MJ18 players will get their player packs
• All players will get a Funegirola Open bag tag (more info at check-in)
• Players who have ordered a special Fuengirola Open disc, will get their discs

Player meetings

• Player meeting for each group 20 minutes before tee-time at tournament office (at Mijas Proshop), all three rounds

Caddy book

Caddy book was released some days ago and it was updated on Monday 30th (small updates, fixing minor errors). Latest version can be downloaded HERE.

Additions to caddy book details:

• Teepads might be slippery after rain. It is allowed to throw from the concrete in front of the teepad and up to two meters behind the teepad, in the line of the turf. This is valid for all rounds and all tees, no matter if there has been rain or not
• In case of tied first position after three rounds, there will be a play-off for the win. Play-off holes are Blue 1, Blue 2 and Red 18, looped as long as needed. No play-off for other positions

Prizes

Projected payouts has been published in Metrix news (LINK). Updated based on registrations on Tuesday 31st.

All division winners will be awarded with a very special trophy.

Professional divisions will have money prizes. If an amateur player wants to protect amateur status, money prize can be changed to voucher prize. This needs to be announced immediately when event is finished to tournament staff.

Amateur divisions will have voucher / shop credit prizes. Winners can choose if they to take the prize as a voucher to Powergrip or as shop credits to Mijas Proshop. 

Junior divisions don't have voucher/credit prizes but there is a player pack (worth over the entry fee).

Prize ceremony for all division on Saturday, after all divisions has finished.

Doubles event

Registration is open for the Wednesday's EPT-X Doubles. You can find all details and registration HERE. 

Walk-in registration is poosible only if there are available tee-times. Suggested to register in advance.
