Welcome to EPT Turku Open!

Turku Open is about to kick-off very soon and you are very welcome to join the event. To this message we have collected some important information for you. Please read the info carefully.


Practising & warm-up

  • Practising and warm-up is prohibited on competition course when the event is running (from first group tee-off to last group has finished)

  • There is throwing net and putting baskets at the course

  • For distance drive warm-up it is suggested to use nearby football fields or Luolavuori Park (Luolavuorenpuisto)

Thursday, July 13th

  • 9:00 - 9:30 Tee-times for FPO, random groups
  • 10:00 - 15:30 Tee-times for MPO, random groups
  • For the first round, check-in at the latest 30 minutes before your tee-time at tee #1

Friday, July 14th

  • 9:00 - 9:30 Tee-times for FPO, organized by results, best start last
  • 10:00 - 15:30 Tee-times for MPO, organized by results, best start last
  • For the second and third round 15 minutes before tee-time at tee #1

Saturday, July 15th

  • 9:00 - 9:30 Tee-times for FPO, organized by results, best start last
  • 10:00 - 15:30 Tee-times for MPO, organized by results, best start last
  • For the second and third round 15 minutes before tee-time at tee #1

Groups and tee-times

Players have been divided to two pools due having separate layouts for FPO and MPO. Pool A is FPO and Pool B is MPO.

Those are also published on event's PDGA page (HERE) and will be updated to Udisc Live very soon. Remember to double-check your tee-time closer to the event. Minor changes might possible if there are some late cancellations.

Competition rules etc.

In this event we are following PDGA rules and also European Pro Tour rules (LINK). 

If you have some unclear situation during the round and no official is available near, you should play with two different ways. Issue will be solved after your round at the tournament office.

After your group has finished the round, all players of the group must come to tournament office. Scores will be verified, possible issues solved and there might be interview invitations from the media crew.

Smoking, vaporing and use of other tobacco products are forbidden at the tournament center and during the round from two minutes signal to return of the score card.

Dress code 3.04 D (LINK) is in use. Also caddies must follow this rule. 


Score keeping

The official score keeping platform is Udisc, full stats required from all players. There will be volunteer scorekeepers for top groups.

Secondary score keeping platform is Disc Golf Metrix. Paper cards alo available if needed.

After your round is done:

  1. Compare the scores in Udisc and Metrix hole-by-hole
  2. When everything is correct, verify the scores in Udisc (scorekeepers phone) and sign your score in Metrix (from your own phone)
  3. The whole group must come to scoring tent for checking everything is okay
