Prodigy Disc Pro Tour 2023 #1 - Tali, Helsinki
Prodigy Disc Pro Tour first event starts in Tali disc golf course in Helsinki 26.-28.5.2023. The event is hosted by Talin Tallaajat disc golf club and Finnish Disc Golf Association in cooperation with tour sponsor Prodigy Disc Europe.

Friday 26.5.2023 | 1. Tournament day
- Golf start: 15 minutes intervals starting at 09:00.
- Registration to TD 45 minutes prior to your own start time.
- Starting order MPO, FPO.
- Groups and start times will be published on wednesday 24.5.2023. Check your start time the previous evening and the competition day morning.
- Golf start in random order by class with minor exceptions (feature cards).
Saturday 27.5.2023 | 2. Tournament day
- Golf start: 15 minutes intervals starting at 09:00.
- Registration to TD 45 minutes prior to your own start time.
- Starting order MPO, FPO.
- Groups and start times will be published on Friday 26.5.2023 when all scores are in. Check your start time the previous evening and the competition day morning.
Sunday 28.5.2023 | 3. Tournament day
- Golf start: 15 minutes intervals starting at 09:00.
- Registration to TD 45 minutes prior to your own start time.
- Starting order:
- MPO, 20 groups, 09:00-13:45
- FPO, 5 groups, 14:00-15:00
- MPO, 5 groups, 15.30-16:30
- Groups and start times will be published on Saturday 27.5.2023, when all scores are in. Check your start time the previous evening and the competition day morning.
The organizer and producer reserve the right to schedule changes.
Competition info
Classes and player quotas
- Amount on players is 120.
- MPO - 96 spots + 4 wildcards
- FPO - 18 spots + 2 wildcards
- Wildcards: Prodigy Disc Europe has 3 wildcards, organizer 3 wildcards.
- If the class quota is not filled, places will be filled at the start of the 4th phase in other classes at the discretion of the organizer in the order of registration.
Rules
- Current PDGA rules ja Prodigy Disc Pro Tour rules are followed in the competition.
- Anti-doping principles are followed at the Pro Tour.
- Registration requirements:
- Current PDGA membership.
- PDGA Certified Official license is also required for all players at the moment the event starts and during the entire event.
- The use of tobacco products by event staff, players, and by extension their caddies, is prohibited from the two-minute warning until their scorecard is turned in.
- Players must follow all current Health Department regulations and restrictions .
- In case of tie for first place in any division must be broken by sudden-death play in holes 12, 13, 14, 17 and 18 until winner have been found.
Scoring
- Double electronic scores are kept in tournament (Metrix and UDisc), and both are official scores.
- All players are responsible for keeping score for the whole group. One player keeps scores in Metrix and another keeps scores and statistics in UDisc. Third and fourth keeps scores in paper or other named method.
- All players must sign their scores in both UDisc and Metrix.
- The entire group must report at the tournament office after their rounds. Official checks that every player has signed their scores.

Two mandatories (light poles on the side of the road), and only one drop zone for both of these.
If failed, continue from Drop Zone or previous lie.

OB surrounds the fairway.
Mandatory. If failed, continue from previous lie. +1 penalty added to score.

OB surrounds the fairway.
Bunker is hazard area.
Tee shots landing OB, continue from Drop Zone with penalty (+1).
After first throw, normal OB rules apply.
The hazard area would of course apply throughout the hole.

OB surrounds the fairway.
Island Green: All throws from the fairway that land OB play from the previous lie or where last inbounds on the fairway.
A disc must come-to-rest on the island green to be able to mark on the island green.
Throws made from the island green play regular OB rules.
Warm-up
- Warm-up areas:
- Baskets for putting practice and net for driving is located Tournament Center
- Tali putting course holes 1 ja 5, course map HERE.
- Dog training field is reserved for warm-up and media use.
- The course or courses are closed to practice during the tournament and at all other times designated by the Tournament Director. (from the start of first group until the last group has finished their round).
Parking
- There is only a limited amount of parking space in the tournament center. Therefore public transportation is recommended.
- When parking at the side of Takkatie, please park on the opposite side of disc golf course. Right hand side when driving towards the course.
Services
- Water and toilets can be found at the Tournament Center.
- Prodigy Discs pop-up store.
- Sello shopping center in the vicinity of Tournament Center.
Registration
- Registration in four phases.
- Spots are allocated in order of registration.
- Competitors who have not paid the entry fee by the given deadline may be removed from the tournament without any notice.
- Empty spots will be filled from the waiting list of each class.
- Competitors moved from the waiting list to the tournament have two days to pay registration fee.
- Registration ends at 22.5.2023 at 19:00 hrs.
- Open spots of each class are filled in order of registration for other classes at the start of the fourth registration phase.

- Rating limits
- MPO, competitors whose PDGA-rating is at least 990
- FPO, competitors whose PDGA-rating is at least 870

- Do not pay the registration fee if you are on the waiting list. Pay it within two days if you get a spot in the tournament
- Spots are allocated in order of registration and confirmed by the organizer with payment monitoring
2. PHASE | 23.4.2023 at 19:00 hrs – 3.5.2023 at 19:00 hrs
- Rating limits
- MPO, competitors whose PDGA-rating is at least 975
- FPO, competitors whose PDGA-rating is at least 850
- The registration fee must be paid immediately upon registration, payment information below
- Do not pay the registration fee if you are on the waiting list. Pay it within two days if you get a spot in the tournament
- Spots are allocated in order of registration and confirmed by the organizer with payment monitoring
3. PHASE | 3.5.2023 at 19:00 hrs – 13.5.2023 at 19:00 hrs
- Rating limits
- MPO, competitors whose PDGA-rating is at least 960
- FPO, no rating limits
- The registration fee must be paid immediately upon registration, payment information below
- Do not pay the registration fee if you are on the waiting list. Pay it within two days if you get a spot in the tournament
- Spots are allocated in order of registration and confirmed by the organizer with payment monitoring
4. PHASE | 13.5.2023 at 19:00 hrs – 22.5.2023 at 19:00 hrs
- No rating limits in either class.
- The registration fee must be paid immediately upon registration, payment information below
- Do not pay the registration fee if you are on the waiting list. Pay it within two days if you get a spot in the tournament
- Spots are allocated in order of registration and confirmed by the organizer with payment monitoring
Class-specific free quotas will be released before the start of the fourth phase.

- The registration fee must be paid immediately upon registration.

Cancellations and registration fee refunds
- Send an e-mail to the Tournament Director if you want to cancel your participation.
- Do not remove yourself from the competition.
- The registration fee will be refunded in accordance with PDGA rules (competition guide 1.03), provided that the cancellation has been notified in the appropriate manner.
- A handling fee of 5€ will be deducted from the refund.
Prizes
- Cash prizes in all classes, according to the PDGA TOP25% directive.
- Commemorative prizes are awarded to the three best in each class as soon as the results are ready. Prizes will be provided by the tour organizer.
- Cash prizes can´t be exchanged for a product or gift card prize. If the amateur player refuses the cash prize, the prize and subsequent prizes will be offered to the next places.
Cash prize pools
Each player's participation fee (€100) will be shared:
- Tournament's class-specific prize pool 65,00 €/competitor.
- Tour's class-specific prize pool 15,00 €/ competitor.
- The club organizing each individual Tournament 20,00 €/ competitor.
Added cash

The Tour main organizer, Prodigy Disc Europe, will bring at least €1,500 additional money to the tournament's prize pool.
Cash prize payments
- Information for the payment of cash prizes is done in connection with the payment of the participation fee.
- Cash prizes are paid by bank transfer.
- As part of its legal obligation, the organizer reports the details of the individual winner of a cash, gift card or product prize worth more than 100 euros with prize values to the income register (excl. raffle prizes). For the purpose of notification, the prize recipient's name, social security number, e-mail address and prize value are collected from the prize winners.
