Reykjavík Open 2024 will be held on the weekend of May 17-20, 2024. The tournament will take place in Grafarholt where three rounds will be played. The tournament will open on Friday the 17th of May with a player meeting, barbecue, some games and entertainment. The first round will be played the following day, May 18. Reykjavik Open 2024 is an A-tier tournament, the first of its kind in Iceland. This marks a milestone in disc golf in Iceland and no disc golfer should miss out on this. The following is information regarding the registration.

Registration for the tournament opens on February 1st and will be in stages. Each stage will be open for 3 days, so be sure to sign up early. The following divisions will be available : MPO, FPO, MP40, MA1, FA1. Please note! If there is enough demand, an MA50 category will be offered which opens for registration after the third stage (February 10).

REFUND POLICY:

  1. Players who officially wants to withdraw from the tournament MUST send us an email to reykjavikopen@fgr.is stating that he or she is withdrawing from the tournament, no matter how short or long the notice is. A phone call or a face to face conversation with one of the TD's is not considered official. 
     
  2. Players on the waiting list who paid their entry fee and did not get a spot on the tournament will be 100% monetary refunded once registration to the tournament has closed. This also applies to players on the waiting list who request a refund before registration closes and there for withdraws from the tournament.
     
  3. Players who officially request to withdraw from the tournament at least 30 days before the start of tournament will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee.
     
  4. Players who officially request to withdraw from the tournament 15 to 29 days before the start of the tournament will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee (minus up to a $10 handling fee) ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is not filled, the player will get the player’s pack that he would have received if they had attended. In the case of a player in a Pro division he will receive 50% monetary refund.
     
  5. Players who officially request to withdraw from the tournament 14 to 2 days before the start of the tournament will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry fee (minus up to a $10 handling fee) ONLY if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request. If the player’s spot is not filled, the player will get the player’s pack that he would have received if they had attended. In the case of a player in a Pro division he will receive 25% monetary refund.
     
  6. Players who request withdrawal within 48 hours of the start of play, are not entitled to a refund.
     
  7. In the unlikelyhood of vacating an offered division takes place due to a lack of registered players for the division, any player for that division that does not wish to move to a different division that they are eligible for, will be provided a 100% monetary refund.
     
  8. If the tournament is cancelled, all currently registered or waitlisted players will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry or waitlist fee. In a case of disaster that prevents the tournament from taking place by making the course unavailable, and only with prior approval from the PDGA Director of Event Support, may a we provide players registered for Amateur divisions with a player pack and a partial monetary refund in the amount of the difference between the retail value of the player pack and the amount of the entry fee.
     
  9. If the tournament gets postponed, all players currently registered or waitlisted for the original date at the time of postponement will receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry or waitlist fee if they request it. Once a new date is announced, all prior registrants who are still registered or waitlisted will be notified by email and given a reasonable opportunity to receive a 100% monetary refund of their entry or waitlist fee if they determine they are unable to attend the tournament on its new date.
