1H 2022 MDGC Women's Social Guidelines:

1H 2022 Schedule:  2 per month

Stony Creek

• 1^st weekend of each month
• Alternating Saturdays & Sunday mornings
• ~1:15pm round with shotgun start.  Capped at 36 Players

Bald Hill

• 2^nd weekend of each month
• Alternating Saturdays & Sunday mornings
• ~1:15pm round with shotgun start.  Capped at 36 Players

Ruffey Lake (maybe substituted for Stoney Creek)

• 3rd weekend of each month
• Alternating Saturdays & Sunday mornings
• ~1:15pm round with shotgun start.  Capped at 36 Players

See Metrix for exact dates.  Events will be posted on Facebook ~ 2 weeks prior to each event when registration opens

 

Entry/Registration:

Entry to Womens Socials will be free for MDGC Members and to first time social day players.  The Non-Member entry fee will be $5, payable through the MDGC online store.  No cash will be accepted on the day.

Registration will be open ~2 weeks prior to each event and will be announced on Facebook and the MDGC website.   Please login to your Metrix account to register.

1. The registration form does have a number of new questions regarding club membership, photography permissions & questions for new players and U18 players that help us group players.
2. Metrix administrators will shuffle player groups to manage new players & balance numbers around the course. 

There will be a short players meeting 15mins prior to each round which will cover course set-up, prize sponsorship, confirm groupings & any special considerations for the day.

Monthly Prizes:

At each Womens Social the following prizes will be determined & awarded by the SD Coordinator.  The raw score prizes will only be available to MDGC members.

• Handicap Winner: Based on the lowest Metrix HC score on the day (must have a Metrix HC). This will be subject to a Metrix course rating for the Front 9 of each course being established (working with Metrix on this)
• Raw score Winner: Based on the lowest raw score on the day **
• CTB : Closest to the basket on 1 hole selected by the SD Coordinator.

** A tie in the raw score category will be split using:

1. A play-off on Hole #10.
2. If that is tied; then CTB on Hole #10 will be used to determine the winner.

Background Information:

Metrix Handicap System:

The Metrix handicap system will be used to provide players of all abilities an opportunity to win the HC prize by playing well compared to their handicap.  Players will receive a Metrix rating after playing 3 competition rounds at a rated course (BH, SC or RL).

For those who want to know, your Metrix handicap is determined by:

(1000- [your Metrix rating])/(course stroke rating)

BH, SC & RL currently have course stroke rating of 12, so a 760 rated player would have a HC of 20.

Note: Metrix Course ratings for the Front 9 holes at Stony Creek & Bald Hill are not yet in place & we are working with Metrix to assist us to do this using existing 18 hole data.  More to come on this.
