BBDL - Beyond Boundaries Discgolf League 2024

 

After the successful start last year, we are happy to welcome you to the second season of the BBDL - Beyond Boundaries Discgolf League. In 2024, the tournament series will once again be the result of the cooperation of three clubs from the Czech Republic and Germany, who together will set up a total of four tournaments in these two countries. All true to the motto: Disc golf knows no boundaries!

Once again, it is worthwhile to take part in as many tournaments as possible in the series in order to collect valuable points for the overall ranking and to win equally valuable prizes at the grand finale. We hope to be able to provide you with great experiences and beautiful memories. Detailed information about the BBDL can be found on the Discgonaut's website.

 

Traditional start of discgolf series in Cottbus

We are starting the BBDL again this year in the Spreeauenpark of Cottbus, which is well worth seeing. The chance to play a full 18 holes in front of this backdrop is still only available twice a year and should therefore be used! Participants of last year's club festival of the Chaingaroos will go into the tournament with a slight advantage at the 2024 BBDL opener, as the course's layout will be strongly oriented towards it.

 

Doubles Warm-Up Tournament

For the first time this year, you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the final 18 holes on the day before the tournament (05.04.2024) as part of a doubles tournament. All the necessary information is available for you on the corresponding registration page.

 

Conditions of participation

Entry fees: 

• Players aged 18 and over: 30,00 €
  (incl. PDGA-Fees, Players Package, Entrance in the Spreeauenpark, Participation in the Ace Pool, at the CTP-Contest and lottery)
• Players under the age of 18: 10,00 €
  (incl. PDGA-Fees, Players Package, Entrance in the Spreeauenpark, Participation in the Ace Pool, at the CTP-Contest and lottery)

 

Fees for lunch at the Park Café (optional)

• Tagliatelle with chicken breast and mushrooms in tomato sauce: 10,00 €
• Asian noodle pan with lotus vegetables and soy sauce: 10,00 €

 

Allocation of starting places

In order to confirm your starting place, we ask you to transfer the start fee including any catering fees within 7 days. If this does not happen, we will assign the open slot to the next player in the waiting list (the registration time on Metrix applies). You will be informed about the receipt of a starting place by e-mail. 

To underline the international character of the BBDL, the first 20 registered players from the Czech Republic will receive a secure starting place (wildcard), provided that their registration has been made by 17.02.2024. After that, only the time of registration on Metrix decides. For the clubs of the Chaingaroos, Discgonauts and Albium, 3 wildcards are available separately.

Withdrawal of registration and refund of the entry fee

This is governed by the rules of the PDGA under point 1.03. The most important things can be summarized as follows:

1.03 A - Players must unsubscribe from the TD by phone or email. Unsubscribing from Metrix alone is not enough.

1.03 C - If the player cancels at or before 07/03/24, 100% of his entry fee will be refunded.

1.03 D - In case of cancellation between 08/03/24 - 22/03/24, 100% will be refunded if the starting place is filled. If the place is not filled, we will refund 50% of the entry fee.

1.03 E - In case of cancellation between 23/03/24 - 03/04/24, 100% will be refunded if the starting place is filled. If the place is not filled, we will refund 25% of the entry fee.

1.03 F - If you cancel between 04/04/24 - 06/04/24, you will not receive a refund.

1.03 I - If a division is not formed and the player refuses to start in a division that suits him, the player will be refunded 100% of his entry fee.

1.03 K - If the tournament is cancelled by the TD, players will receive a 100% refund.

From 8:00 a.m. on the day of the tournament, we will open the side gate at the southwest corner of the parking lot of the Cottbus Zoo. For orientation, you will use the beach flag of the Chaingaroos. Unfortunately we will have to close the gate again at 9 o'clock.

All those who arrive later will have to take the regular route through the regular park entrance and the additional park entrance fee of €1. You may also be charged an additional parking fee of €3 after 9 a.m.

 

All about the tournament

 

Players Package:

Thanks to RPM, we can offer a Players Package again this year. Like last year, you will receive a link with your starting place confirmation, which you can use to choose the disc of your choice. Pick-up will take place during check-in on the morning of the tournament. If you have not chosen a disc via the portal by the end of the deadline, you will receive a random disc at check-in.

 

Sideevents:

There will be a CTP contest for each of the four divisions. The lanes in question will be announced in the Player's Meeting.

If, unlike last year, the Ace pool is not cracked, we will organize a special CTP competition on a specially created "course" after the tournament. The winner can then go home with the Ace pool in their pocket.

With the entry fee, you automatically get the opportunity to participate in the lottery after the sporting competition. Here, regardless of your sporting skills, you have the chance to win big prizes on this day.

 

Discount on disc purchases:

Players can order disc golf equipment in advance from the ULTIMO FRISBEE SHOP and have it delivered to the tournament. If you indicate when ordering that you want to have your shopping cart delivered to the BBDL tournament in Cottbus, you will not only receive a 10% discount, but also free delivery. In addition, Ultimo will offer a disc stand on site, so you can feel and buy discs live.

During the tournament, we will provide you with drinks at our base camp for a small coin. Music will also be played. We can only hope that we will get good weather :)
